To honor her, Producer/Curator Erica Hill has asked artists to use her piece “The Patron Saint of Normal” as an inspiration to create 12″ x 12″ works for this benefit.
This one day show and silent auction will include works by Curtis Kulig, Skullphone, Dana Veraldi, Brad Kahlhammer, David Armstrong, Tom Munro, Fawad Khan, Rebecca Chamberlain, Guy Richards Smit, Sean Scherer, Luke Dougherty, Anna Schori, Rob Howard, Andrea Gentl, Martin Hyers and others. All proceeds are tax deductible, will benefit local art scholarships and given in Michelle MacNaught’s name.

Of her art, Michelle MacNaught once said, “Rather than see a therapist, I cope with my cancer and talk about my emotions and struggles through my work,” she explained. “It not only helps me sort out and “heal” certain things that I am struggling with, it also becomes a channel for me to explain to others how I am handling the situation,” she adds. “The way I get to work with my hands and move materials around in order to create something that nobody has ever experienced before is fascinating. You get to play God in a sense, and you hope that the viewer does too,” she says. “A professor of mine always says, “Sometimes you just have to rinse out your eyes,” and it is so true. What a wonder things become viewing with a new set of eyes.”
