Robert Schneider

Robert Schneider is the lead Composer, Arranger, and Producer of The Apples in stereo, Robbert Bobbert, Marbles, and Ulysses, and was one of the founding members of The Elephant 6 Cooperative. He is also a well-known producer-engineer, having worked with such notables as Beulah, Neutral Milk Hotel and Olivia Tremor Control.

Over the course of his ten-year composition career, Schneider has had numerous high profile song credits for commercials, television, and film. A partial list of his commercial work includes material for Pepsi, New Balance, Dodge, Sony, Kohl’s, Coca-Cola, JC Penny, Sony, and Time Warner Road Runner campaigns.

Schneider has also composed several songs for The Apples in stereo that appeared on Craig McCracken’s “Powerpuff Girls” TV series and soundtrack; has appeared solo and with band on Comedy Central’s “The Colbert Report” and has created a new musical scale – The Non-Pythagorean Music Scale – based on his love of mathematics.
